A Visit to Itamar

Today I visited Itamar and the house where Udi and Ruth Fogel were slain together with their 3 month-old baby and two other children, aged 11 and 4.

The children's bikes were still in the yard.

I also went to visit the yeshiva building where Udi Fogel learned and prayed.

Former IDF Chief Rabbi, Brig. General Avishai Ronsky showed me to Udi Fogel's seat, where his siddur and other books and notebooks still remain.

I opened the siddur to a random page in oder to say a verse of Tehillim in his memory.

It opened to Psalm 94 .....
A Psalm of Vengeance.

Here is the page, opened:

It reads:

Oh God to whom vengeance belongs ...
How long shall the wicked triumph..?
They break in pieces Your people, O Lord...
And afflict Your heritage.
They slay the widow and the stranger,
And murder the fatherless.
